My name is Ben Stahlman, I am a Senior at Northwest High School – Cedar Hill Mo, I set goals and strive to achieve them. My next goal is to wrestle at the collegiate level.  I am a 4 year Varsity Wrestler, 3 years as a captain.  I am healthy, strong and have a passion for wrestling.  My high school competes in the very competitive St. Louis Suburban West conference.  My team won Conference in 2014.  Some of my top accomplishments in wrestling are, placing 5th at the State tournament last year in the class 4 bracket at 138, I was a state qualifier in 2014 at  132lbs and 2016 at 152. I also broke my teams’ single season win record with 52 last year.     I was also voted onto the “Dream Team” in 2015 by area coaches.  This was a tremendous honor for me because it is not only determined by what I do on the mat but also by my character and what I do in the classroom.

I will graduate from High School in 2016, at this time my cumulative GPA is 3.0.  I am in the A+ program and academics are very important to me.  I always bring great work ethic to the classroom, in addition to the wrestling room.  I have a near perfect attendance in the classroom and have never missed a wrestling match.  In addition to wrestling I have played 4 years of high school soccer, am in my 3rd year of Student Council, participate in journalism, which publishes our school paper.  I am excited about my future and  I am currently undecided in my major.

I am always eager to learn and better myself. There is no off season for me.  When I am not competing during the high school season, I do off season training.
